MARCH 3. Clean Up Australia: Rubbish and weeds. Probably at the Ian McCann Reserve, just outside Stawell on the Pomonal Rd. This small reserve was named for Ian, who was a founding (probably THE founding member) of FOGGS, and our first life member. (Unless Katherine finds an area that is more urgent.) MAY 4: Working Bee at Red Gum Walk.
We hope to combine with volunteers from the Walking Track Support Group to
replenish the gravel along the track, put in a few track markers at the end of the track, weed , prune and do general maintenance. Melbourne members may like to combine this with a visit to the Grampians Grape Escape which is on that weekend. Contact Margo on 5356 4524 or 0419 201139.
Plans for the rest of the year are still fluid, as there are uncertainties re grants and projects. But here is a rough plan (No promises):
June: Bioscan report or speaker on research in the Park.
July: Fungi Frolic. Dunkeld end?
August: Geology talk
September, October, November Threatened Species & other wildflower related excursions, maybe also insects.
December: Break up lunch with planning for 2014.
