Sallow Wattle Control @ Halls Gap Transfer Station

Date: Saturday 12th April

When: 9.45 am

Where: Grampians State Park, Halls Gap- Ararat Road, near Halls Gap Transfer Station.

Join us to remove sallow wattle (Acacia longifolia spp sophorae), an invasive out of place native plant shading out the park’s unique vegetation, including the rare and beautiful Grevillea gariwerdensis.

Park Victoria Pest Control Ranger Sarah Cole and FOGG need your help to protect this special ecosystem.  While there, you’ll also have the chance to monitor the rare Grevillea gariwerdensis. It’s a great way to connect with nature and make a difference!

Parks slashed the sallow wattle in this area 2 years ago and now the regeneration needs removal.  It is hopeful we can remove the sallow wattle in this area.

All welcome. Bring gloves, bring friends, and let’s help the Grampians Gariwerd thrive!

Bring your lunch to sit and enjoy afterwards in the Park.

Register on Parks Connect for this event.

After the event we will have lunch together.  Bring Chairs, food and drink to enjoy.

All welcome.
