Special general meeting to pass motions for FOGG to become a Charity

2^nd March 2025 Exciting News FOGG members!

We’re hosting a special general meeting to discuss and pass motions for Friends of Grampians-Gariwerd to become a Charity and officially register with the Australian Charities Not-for-Profits Commission. (ACNC)

All members welcome!  Proxys accepted.  

When: 1pm on Sunday, March 2nd

Where: Centenary Hall, 117 Grampians Road, Halls Gap

Most likely, this will follow on from our annual Clean Up Australia Day Event, which will be held in the morning nearby  – more details to follow.

We look forward to a brief and positive discussion to ensure everyone’s in favour of this plan.

Plan for Friends of Grampians-Gariwerd to become a charity

ACNC Motions needed

Motion for group to register as a charity with the ACNC

Motion for FOGG to adopt the Model rules and this Purpose for our new Constitution.

Purpose Statement

The Friends of Grampians-Gariwerd (FOGG) is established to be a charity with a purpose of enhancing the natural environment by –

1. Promoting the conservation, protection and restoration of the Grampians Gariwerd National Park.
2. Increasing the community’s involvement, knowledge and enjoyment of the Grampians Gariwerd National Park
3. Assisting with projects selected by FOGG and Grampians Gariwerd National Park.
4. Providing a community voice in support of the Grampians Gariwerd National Park

Motion that the secretary will update the CAV with a copy of our Constitution

Motion that we pay the CAV fee to update our Constitution.

Motion that the four office bearers (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary) are happy to be listed as the responsible people for the ACNC application

Motion that FOGG accept the Landcare Victoria Policy for working with vulnerable people and children.

Motion that FOGG accept the Landcare Victoria Policy on conflict of interest.

Motion that FOGG renew our membership with Landcare Victoria which includes insurance for volunteers and office bearers.
